Julian Epps and and I co-taught a storytelling class to high school students at the University of New Hampshire’s Upward Bound program.

We worked with students on story structure, public speaking, and performance skills as they practiced telling fairy tales, myths, and their own stories to the class. As instructors, we provided media examples of various storytellers, led discussions on what makes an engaging storyteller, led acting and relaxation exercises to get students’ minds moving, and provided opportunities for students to give each other feedback.
